The Community Council aims to achieve an improvement in our environment, to enrich the quality of life and preserve the diversity of local life. The Council will endeavour to protect the rural character of the five villages and retain local identity.
Your Community Council works for the residents of Gwaelod Y Garth , Pentyrch , Creigiau , Llanilltern Village & Capel Llanilltern.
The community council is based at Penuel Road , Pentyrch. As well as being an office we also have a Library & Museum at Penuel Road.
We own 250 acres of land , the majority being on the Garth.

Grass cutting , litter collection & other maintenance work on land in our ownership.

Regular litter picks
On a quarterly basis the Community Link newsletter is prepared & delivered to around 3000 homes.
Your community council precept is around £200,000 and has been maintained for the last three years. Other costs include office & vehicle running costs.
Monies are also set aside within the budget for tree planting & the replacement of community benches & litter bins.
Your Community Council is made up of 13 councillors and The Council employs a Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Community Engagement Officer and x2 Community Maintenance Officers.
All meetings of your Community Council are open to the public.
